Inside the Boardroom: Madison Realty Capital's Josh Zegen
Madison Realty Capital Managing Principal and Co-Founder, Josh Zegen sat down with Real Estate Daily Beat’s Joe Richter for a wide-ranging conversation about his firm’s past, present, and future. “The word private credit didn’t really exist back then,” Zegen said of the firm’s early days in the wake of the global recession, “it was a mom-and-pop business that we set out to institutionalize.” Since inception in 2004, Madison has raised four debt funds totaling over $2 billion, and as a vertically integrated firm, is equipped to tackle all kinds of opportunities from direct lending, to buying and restructuring loans, to owning real estate.
