The South Bronx is in the Midst of a Development Boom
Development is booming in the South Bronx, where developers are turning the former warehouse district into a hub for family-friendly entertainment and living. New York property management companies are coming together on projects like Union Crossing, where Madison Realty Capital is leading development partners in an effort to convert a Port Morris warehouse into an office building that retains the original high ceilings and light-flooded spaces while providing tenants with diverse options, including constructing a building (with its own entrance and lobby) within the building. Josh Zegen of Madison Realty Capital says that, because of the displacement in Long Island City and Harlem, the South Bronx is ripe for development, and he expects the trend to continue into the future.
