After opening their office in Los Angeles last year, Madison Realty Capital is continuing to make big waves on the Southern California coast, this time extending a $30.5 million loan for a forthcoming hotel project by The University of California and John Wayne Airport. The borrower, John deVries, is a hotelier intent on bringing a new 11-story hotel to the Irvine area, and MRC was there to step in with a debt investment designed to facilitate quick action. “This transaction represents what we do best,” said Josh Zegen, Managing Principal and Co-Founder of MRC. “In this case, we had the opportunity to quickly finance a mixed-use development that will fill a substantial hospitality void in the Irvine market.”
