City Council Approves Rezoning for Madison Realty Capital's Woodside Rental Project
Woodside’s City Council has approved Madison Realty Capital’s latest proposal for their forthcoming rental property at 69-02 Queens Boulevard after making some community-suggested changes to the plan. The New York property management company will include 129 units of affordable housing in the development, as well as a 476-seat school that is aimed at reducing pressure on the area’s public-school system. MRC also agreed to increase the proportion of larger family homes and lower the overall height of the development. In exchange, the City Council agreed to approve Madison Realty Capital’s application to rezone and increase density at the site to allow for 563 apartments.
